They've got to have a protocol for declaring him unfit, just put him in a straight jacket and lock him up. Those two generals today looked far from sold on his next steps.I wonder how secure Putin’s inner circle is. I'm sure there's a fair few questioning the wisdom of this and wondering whether he's mentally stable enough to have control of nuclear weapons.
Like this?Horrible feeling he’s after a “suicide by cop” style end.
Aye thanks for posting that, fascinating insight. And as that Belarus colonel said "Ukraine have done the most important thing to survive the first 72 hours". Lots of easy to operate and military hardware flooding in now like NLAW's & SAM's.
I don’t know, they will be of a type that aren’t squeamish about making those kind of decisions.Doesn't sound like any of that lot would put a bullet in his head whatever he does![]()

Whilst I agree with you on the effectiveness of an ied in a built up area, personally I class them in the same league as mines. Indiscriminate and not always lethal. Agreed that you kill a soldier you remove 1 from the the battle. Wound a soldier you take 2 or more. Problem is the same can be said if civiliansThe most effective weapon against an occupying force is the IED
Cheap, easy to make, easy to hide, low risk and extremely effective.
If Russia do take some or all of Ukraine just flood the place with them.
That would be an entirely acceptable alternative. There won't be a protocol. It'll be a nice cup of glowing green tea

You see boys invading the Ukraine is very much like making love to a beautiful woman
And you know that because? The two things won’t be connected.
Wish people would stop using this to point score at home. We’ve behaved very well in this - dare I say leading the ROW at times.
Think it would be foolish to at least not put feelers out.Slightly off-topic, but hopefully, if things calm down, maybe a good time to push egos aside and have talks about re-entering the EU.
I think this has proven that unity is essential, and a lot of pros/cons were about trivial matters.

And how could any company in the world for the foreseeable future invest in Russia; work with a Russian partner; have a Russian company in their supply chain; rely on Russian gas? Knowing at any minute it could all collapse.BP getting rid of its stake in Rosneft.

Green Tea is good for you, full of antioxidantsThere won't be a protocol. It'll be a nice cup of glowing green tea
I can imagine there's very few people get close to him, he only ever seems to be seen in two rooms publicly these days too. I reckon there's a lot of paranoia going on.I wonder how secure Putin’s inner circle is.
