The prevailing attitude in the Stanley Baldwin government of the time was let them rotI wonder if there's still the same prevailing attitude in the free world to go to Ukraine and fight against injustice that there was back in the days of the Spanish Civil War.....about 40k foreigners went to fight there. That sort of number would make a huge difference.
And place a Ukrainian flag in its place.Hope the UK follow exactly what the EU are doing, banning Russia Today.
We have a former KGB officer’s son who our current PM made a Lord, a foreign secretary taking selfies, a bloke who paid to get British nationality on Russia Today talking of Russia’s special invasion and a government knee deep in Russian cash. What about U.K.?
SoMaybe so but we have a Home Secretary claiming misinformation while posting a link that literally proves she’s lying, a prime minister wasting military time for a photo shoot in front of a plane that turns back (and so doesn’t deliver whatever it was supposed to deliver) and MPs telling Ukrainians that they can’t claim refuge here but they can apply to come and pick some potatoes for the summer.
Meanwhile Slovakia has on its own offered any Ukrainians sanctuary, has provided fuel, food and military supplies while also offering money to those Ukrainians who are refugees.
We’re run by a government that has at every level been compromised by Russia and this is the inevitable result.
And let’s not forget - this is the same government that wants to ban the type of protests that are currently taking place elsewhere to stop the war.
Hopefully the right thing and puts a bullet in his own head. It's worrying what he'll do the further isolated he gets like
I don’t think he will use them, no one has actually attacked Russia (Ukraine have only defended)It's worrying what he'll do the further isolated he gets like
We have been arming the Ukrainians aswel as Eu, and so we should, I personally think nato should be thereto. If you think that Russian money isn't in every corner of European leadership I think your naive ww ladClass that you don’t want to know just how deeply embedded Russia is in the British government. Such patriot.
Doesn't sound like any of that lot would put a bullet in his head whatever he doesYou must be logged on to see external links

I’m supposed to applaud them sending some military assistance - literally the bare minimum they should be doing, and still less than their own MPs want them to do - with the government simultaneously telling the people suffering through this war that they aren’t welcome here unless they pick fruit? So
Helping the army out is just a maybe so? Pathetic if you ask me it’s more than a maybe so. Right now my nephew is there and all I see is slants this/slants that
Let’s tell them what they are doing is jusy a maybe so or just a not good enough.
Do I think Boris is poor yes, is he my priority now god no.
You have your threads post and opinions and on this forum it’s very cliquey with people on political sides.
Maybe we could all unite instead of moaning or maybe people who whinge about others not doing stuff can actually step up and do something
There’s plenty of other threads to clog up. Reason a hate these posts as the main cause always gets missed.
The war is about left v right, rich v poor, not east v West.So

Worked for pretty much all of the 30's tbfWaffling and wondering if they can just hide long enough for the problem to go away.
