This will be an unpopular opinion. It's clear the Ukraine are putting a lot of propaganda out and that's being backed up by people trying to get social media stardom. I honestly think the Russians are slightly behind where they planned to be, but are on top of the battle. There's a lot of people getting sucked into this ideathe Ukrainians are doing a lot better than expected.
they are probably doing a lot better than Putin expected. likely thought they'd roll over and have their tummies tickled.

A Russian warship was in Pompey years ago, i showed some of the crew around restricted parts of the warship I served on (they were most interested in the vending machines!)

I asked a couple of them what they did onboard, the general reply was "I sit and watch a dial, ring engineer if it goes too high"

The ships are decrepit

When they used to run ashore in the late 80's you'd never see them in pubs around the town. They all used to pile in the newsagents and clear the top shelves of jazz mags. Gan in Tescos anarl and be amazed there was food on the shelves.

Debatable

It’s like every major incident - people just spout shit for attention. I wouldn’t say it’s Ukraine

Not sure how long we can just stand back and let this happen.

The EU, UK, US and everyone else need to do something.

We can’t do anything which just feels bizarre. NATO has over 3 million personnel yet we’re forced to only be able to provide Ukraine with equipment.
Sitting here at home watching a European city getting bombed to bits is surreal.

What's happening is terrible but if what you're saying happened it would be a tragedy.
I know, I just cant help thinking that they need support. Imagine it the other way around and some lunatics are coming into our country, destroying it and your basically chucked an AK47 to try and help fight back.

Russia to be cut off from swift
Any source on that being all Russia? I've just seen this but don't know where that German government spox stuff has come from or is about as it seems to suggest it's a small sector. Obviously nobody believe this tweet is fact below as I've only posted it to discuss it and possibly get more info about it.

Its absolutely sickening.

The fact that Russia is not already in control of Kiev is proof that the Ukrainians are doing better than expected.
I really don't think it was ever going to be an onslaught though. Even some 'experts' I've seen on the news today were talking about being surprised at the scale of the invasion still. This is a country bigger than France with its major cities spread out.
