I've said a few times now that I don't think even Putin will want that. I still think the primary objective will have been to keep as much infrastructure in place as possible as he wants the country to be productive, not a wasteland. If they do flatten one particular place it shows the plan isn't working imo.

Ukraine has done nothing to remotely justify this. In fact, Ukraine has had three of its regions either annexed or broken away since 2014.

Yes Ukraine was moving towards EU and NATO membership, but that is nothing to do with Russia and is not a threat to Russia, and no way should be regarded as ‘steps’ towards an invasion.

Absolutely laughable that Putin could ever seriously think that Europe would ever consider attacking Russia with its 6000+ nukes ! UK has 225 and France a canny few too, but chicken feed compared to Russia.
