Russia invading Ukraine (NEWS/UPDATES)

Sounds like we’ve managed to get people out of Ukraine via Transnistria.

We originally tried over the Moldovan border but there’s pretty heavy border checks and they’re conscripting people in to the army. But Transnistria is a breakaway territory - managed to get a number of cars through no problem.

Sadly we’ve had 1 of our team conscripted though. Was basically just handed a rifle and sent off

This is a russian bot. Dont engage it.
Imagine the effort and investment of maintaining an active posting account for 12 years to convince the population not even of Sunderland but just those on its football clubs messageboard of Russian interests while also repeatedly calling out Russian corruption and investment in the UK over that decade

What a masterful game of chess to play

Putin needs to be careful what he wishes for. It’s his actions here that will ultimately persuade these ‘independent’ countries to align with NATO. He’s turning it into us v them scenario where countries will no longer want to remain neutral and he will be surrounded by NATO countries.

You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar. If Russia respected Ukraine and never threatened it I'm sure Ukraine would never want to join NATO.

Russia have broken their treaty with Ukraine in the Budapest Memorandum and now verbally threatening non NATO countries near them. They've proved they can't be trusted and are volatile, no wonder the Finns and Swedes are reassessing their neutrality.

What do you or your team do?>

I really do think NATO are genuinely concerned that Putin, in his current state of mind is capable of launching a serious attack, whether that be cyber or nuclear, hence their reluctance to go " all in".

It's now a battle of brain rather than force. IMO.
I think they’re playing the long game waiting to see how it goes in Ukraine, whether he makes a strategic mistake, and whether the Russian people turn on him.
