Just seen a video on facebewk (I know) of what is suggested as a Russian armoured vehicle (tracked) swerving on a highway into the path of an oncoming civilian car and flatten it.. pretty grim video to wat h but I didn’t expect that to happen..

Anyone prepared to admit he had a point?

No thr wonder Germany won't allow Russia to be cut of from SWIFT - they need them on there to pay for all the gas.

He has/had a valid point as it turned out, even a broken clock is right twice a day though

Anyone who says we shouldn’t be more involved (Even with harsher sanctions) surely only has to look at this photo. The UN may as well pack up and go home.

The BBC and Sky News keep reporting that Russian armoured vehicle deliberately driving over that civilian car.

They need to be careful here, I honestly don’t think it was deliberate. Seeing the longer video of the incident, I think it was taking evasive measures from a Ukrainian ambush. I’m not defending the Russians in any shape or form but I’m convinced that wasn’t a deliberate act.

The media needs to be impartial and report facts. Otherwise their integrity comes into question and all of their reporting can be questioned.

Where you born after the Iraq war mate? Would certainly explain the maturity of your posts mind

I was. And it was a mistake. Are you suggesting because we made that mistake that we can't now point out Russia are making a mistake?

You have literally bought up the british empire just so we feel guilty about something.

The British Empire has not caused Russia to invade Ukraine.

I think there's a lot of debate as to what is happening there. It might not show exactly that

Russia are simply doing what Britain have done for most of our history, including over the past decade- securing their own political and strategic interests. It's what Imperial countries do.

I have no moral difficulty in pointing out that what Russia is doing is morally unjustifiable because I maintain its true whoever does it, including thr UK.

But the UK's greatest national myth is basically that we were the good type of invader, coloniser, and that the millions of deaths and the reourposing of other people's wealth and people without permission that we orchestrated was basically fine.

As long as that myth holds true, we have basically no leg to stand on in situations like this. Either these things are acceptable, or they're not. If they're not, then Britain isn't an exception.
People evolve over time and learn right from wrong.

Britain would not do now what they did previously.

When I initially watched it I thought no way would they do that, strange that they went back over it mind. Surely the tank wouldn’t get stuck and have to back up

This should have been built years ago. Never mind HS2. We need projects like this.

F
Folks being able to get to back to Brum 20 minutes faster from the smoke at a cost of £120 billion + was going to be a bargain.🤔

There's children the world over imperilled in war. There always are.

There's children in Yemen being blown up by weapons we have sold to the house of Saud in fact.

It's not goodies vs baddies. We're already a part of this and reactionary solutions are disingenuous and meaningless at this stage.
