Russia invading Ukraine (NEWS/UPDATES)

tanks are most easily killed at a distance by planes

if the pictures are true then you have to assume that the Ukrainian AF is'nt upto the task

this is one of the big differences between Russia invading Ukraine, and Russia attacking a NATO country - US Air Force generals would be licking their lips at the sight of massed tank columns in daylight
That's also true.

Urban warfare is a nightmare for tanks though

Ukraine offered neutrality in exchange for peace.

No doubt government will be purged and puppet installed.

The inevitable outcome without intervention.

Russia has made 'limited progress' so far today, says UK

Ukraine is retaining control of key cities currently, the Ministry of Defence has said.
It said Russia has "made limited progress so far today", although airstrikes and artillery fire started in the early hours of the morning.

Latvias deputy PM blasts continental Europe: “Only Britain, ourselves, the Baltics, Poland, and US are assisting to defend themselves, where are the other countries, why are you watching, why are you letting Ukrainians to bleed?”
He’s right Germany Italy and Hungary have shown they care about Germany Italy and Hungary.

This is a thread about a totalitarian regime, that shuts down free speech, invading an innocent neighbour, with devastating results for civilians in that country.

I question trivial posts on here referencing the effect on football clubs, and receive censorship in the form of said post being removed for "petty bickering".

You cannot make that shit up.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😍🤣🤣🤣
Mate, this thread isn’t about you. Fuck off with your victim routine - your post here is the definition of trivial

I'm not too proud to admit I'd be finding the nearest safe haven as soon as possible. If that makes me a coward it only makes me more in awe of brave men who pick up weapons.
I would fight till my last breath it doesn’t make you a coward at all every person is different, to be honest If it came to it and we needed to go overseas I would do it without hesitation, I joined the army when I was 16 and if I was needed again I would be back to defend my country you and everyone else.

Absolute top respect and admiration for those Ukrainians, especially civilians, who are taking up arms and facing up to the Russian army. Balls as big as watermelons those gadgies.

Fuck knows what I'd do in that position. I guess once a few start standing up then more and more would follow. Imagine your next door neighbor fleeing the country, being in relative safety and surviving the war whilst you laid down your life.

Must be torturous what they are going through.

Id doubt the blokes of Britain would do it
If you frequent the building sites of the UK like I do you'll meet these sort of people on an hourly basis.

Blokes who work their arse off and eat stress for breakfast.

They're there and would be prepared to defend their family or their ciubtry

There’s a longer video that appears to show the lead up to that Russian armoured vehicle flattening the civilian car.

It looks like a Ukrainian ambush of a Russian convoy. A flatbed with artillery on it is ambushed and a few minutes later the armoured vehicles veers off and hits the car. It may now have been a deliberate act, as it first seemed.

Few lads killed in that clip for absolutely no purpose whatsoever

Would love to see putin doing the rounds to the families telling them their family members aren’t coming back the f***ing coward

I just can't imagine leaving a young daughter. I'd rather deal with living under occupation.
