Indeed

The whole idea of a politics board itself is absurd tbf
Well once over football, politics used to to clog up the main board and there was no space left for anything else. Remember what this place used to be like? Iirc it took a major decision after careful consideration to get to where we are now. Keep it the way it is for me. It creates space.

Huge battle going on for Antonov airport apparently. CNN corespondent just walked up to interview the troops not realising they were Russian.

Ukrainians have downed 3 or 4 of their helicopters but they landed some paratroopers

From what I’ve read it’s basically the key to Kiev so Ukraine need to go all out to defend it.

Perhaps all world leaders should read Smedley Butler`s War is a Racket by one of America`s most decorated generals which he wrote after returning home after WWI. His plans to prevent future wars, is simple yet utterly brilliant. It`s a very short book but well worth a read: War is a Racket: The Antiwar Classic by America's Most Decorated Soldier: The Antiwar Classic by America's Most Decorated General: Amazon.co.uk: Butler, Smedley D., Parfrey, Adam: 9780922915866: Books

Read that in University.

I'd be surprised if certain people in the US weren't salivating at the prospect of jolting their economy.

I, probably like some other people on here, have been to war, and I have to be honest, it wasn't a particularly pleasant experience. All "Boys Own" stuff until you actually get there.
The thought of bairns armed and fighting for their lives breaks my heart.
All politicians should be forced to be on the front line, and leading the way when they give that order, then maybe, just maybe, we would see less conflict.

Please God, let it end soon.
The one good thing about war is that it produces people that go on to preach tolerance, but they appear odd, so nobody listens

He’s a soldier it’s war it’s his duty hopefully he’s well looked after as a POW he volunteered to join knowing what putin was like
Many of them aren't volunteers. The conscription policies of the Russian army are despicable, independent of the fact that many of their soldiers are teenagers (also awful).

What a time to be alive eh....the fook is wrong with human beings intent on destruction
I plead for tolerance in this world and on this forum, but just a quick look through my posts will tell you my approach and philosophy's are not wanted by an ever growing minority.
