Fck all to do with Brexit man, grow up

It's no good just saying we'll help any displaced people (giggle , giggle, that'll wind the leavers up.)

What about all those that can't escape the war? Those that are stuck there?
I know it’s not anything to do with Brexit, just thought I’d throw that in to show the absurdity of it all.

I’ve made it clear about those that are stuck there….unfortunately they are stuck there until the bombings are done. Hopefully there’ll be opportunities for people to leave safely sooner rather than later and for aid agencies to get involved safely.

Ukrainians lived under Russian rule not long ago, a big proportion of people in Ukraine see themselves as Russian and would happily live under Russian rule. This isn’t like Germany invading France for example. It’s more akin to a playground spat over whose turn it is to look after the classroom hamster
No its like Germany invading the sudetanland and poland

We aren’t all heartless bastards. In fact I can’t say I’ve met a single eurosceptic that would deny people fleeing war a safe haven until it’s safe to return home (should they wish to). You should have just stopped after your second paragraph.
I know but I couldn’t resist :lol::lol:

you're right

however this is exactly like Sudetenland, Czechoslovakia, Memel and Poland

so you have the right aggressor, you were just looking in the wrong direction

If this is a playground spat, it’s like us standing by and watching a Year 11 kick fuck out of a Year 7, and saying “well we won’t be sending a Christmas card to his parents this year”.

There has been for years prior to this man. This war has been going on for years. Do people really think all of this has just happened in the last few weeks?
It’s certainly fallen from the front of people’s minds in recent years for obvious reasons.

This escalation will continue for a long time.

Yep, and sometimes that’s what needs to happen to avoid a full blown conflict where things escalate needlessly.

I never said he was. You said we shouldn’t take action because that risks nuclear war. So I was asking what your threshold is for action.

Would you send troops if it was Estonia?
We should reinforce existing NATO countries, yes.

However, will Putin go there? No.

Ukraine is not a member of NATO and thus an easy target.

I am, not sure I agree with that, Russian money possibly, Aaron Banks, Nigel Farage, a man who has this week defended Putin, this week blaming our EU friends, Banks claiming Ukraine was to Russia what the Isle of white, is to The Uk, they are both lord haw haw, and a quisling.

More like Germany “recovering” the Sudetenland.

Even taking the events of recent years out of it , I’m not sure how many people appreciated it even knew what was going on in eastern Ukraine. Ukrainians have lived with this threat and war for a long time now with no real recognition from the west
