Hopefully a lot of his country start to think like this. The only thing that is going to. Stop him is pressuring the right people or his own people kicking off.

I'm a little concerned a what will happen if Ukraine give him a pasting as I don't think he can take and hold it. War seems like a no win situation.

I think thats why we had a couple of days of him seeing our next move, moving a few troops into rebel controlled land, testing our responses all the time, which was to sanction a couple of people, that give him the green light.

No idea what we should do now, my heart says NATO needs to defend Ukraine to nip this in the bud now, my head cant get around what this could mean, is he crazy enough to use nukes? The time to stop this was weeks ago before shots were fired, gutted for the poor people of Ukraine, my heart goes out to them.

Russia is not going to allow a NATO to member to set up shop on the Black Sea any more than NATO is going to allow Russia to build up its naval base at Tartus in Syria .
 
one of putin's cruise missiles... he doesn't have a huge stockpile of them apparently so will be making them count before more troops pile in

We spend so much time these days trying to revise history and hold it up to modern society. We should never forget the primary benefit that history shows us what mistakes have been made, and how to stop them happening again
