Interesting that Belarus has actually joined in the invasion. it's a fairly small, skint nation with not much of a military. russia might be its friend for now but things change and obviously the people of ukraine will not forget today.

The uprising in Belarus ultimately resulted in Lukashenko submitting to Russia in order to preserve his regime.

The Belarus of 2014, which signed the Minsk agreement as a neutral mediator, no longer exists.
 
If the Ukraine army decides to fight I suspect the Russians wont find this easy. 150000 troops sounds a lot but as an invasion force it’s really not, in comparison the first gulf war had 470000 US forces deployed (other countries deployed another 180000 with the UK deploying 50000).
 
There’s been peace in Europe for decades till putin decided he didn’t want it!

He’s rigged the elections to keep him in power and crushed any opposition

This way of thinking is why the Soviet Union failed in the first place

Belarus had a large civilian uprising attempt a year or so back...... Which suddenly stopped and people went missing.... About the same time as Russia got involved.

Lukashenko is somehow more a fruitloop than Putin is... Putin has never hijacked a plane.

And even then the West's response to that was to just cancel flights to Belarus, the west really are soft as shite.

As you can imagine, zero air activity over Ukraine right now, even the US drone appears to be sticking to the Black Sea. Or zero aircraft showing up on Flight Radar, not necessarily the same as nothing there.
