Mickelsons nickname is phoney Phil.
He is a well known heavy gambler apparently, and has links to a hell of a lot of nasty people.
Wouldn't be surprised if he owes these gangsters many many pounds and is having to do this to pull him out of the shit
He must be worth 100's of millions. Takes a lot to believe he would be in hock to gambling debts.

Michael Martin is an absolute **** he knows fine well what happened to a Sunderland fan last night and whilst the majority of Newcastle twitter are sending best wishes he is tweeting tweet after tweet about Sunderland not being able to beat Burton Albion. Glad his kids are growing up as mackems

Maybe, maybe not mate.
Money is god to many people though, we see it in football all the time
Why were Sky echoing Mickleson's comments about the atrocities in KSA last night. But never once said a PEEP about Newcastle's take over in any way shape or form ! This despite being owned by the ruler of said kingdom who sanctions these horrendous acts ? Disgraceful double standards ! 😡

Now THIS is quality sportswashing. Mickelson now saying the Saudi's aren't "scary" in a manner that makes him sound, er, scared. Look at McIlroy's comment at the end. To paraphrase "The Saudi's are lovely people, give me some of your money please, sir"

Because Golf didn't the players did?
All it took / takes in golf is for the top 20 players to say "not interested" and it is dead...... Oh I almost forgot. The world top golfers don't earn billions from selling weapons to KSA.
Which is what our players should be doing. Not being Terrorist Scum supporting mercenaries

Morals... They will happily head off to Qatar. If the WC was in KSA next they would all toddle off there as well.
If ever we had a manager, club or country, who has the morals to do something it is Southgate. He won't though.
