When is the time to make a stand?

He's pushed and pushed. Scrambles NATO jets every single day. Undoubtedly influenced US elections, probably Brexit and authorises endless cyber attacks. He's has murdered people on our soil. And not just a bullet, he contaminated countless areas with polonium then the same again with a nerve agent.

He must see NATO as weak and after years of planning he's now going to start invading countries.

Nobody wants a world war obviously but we cant let him continue, its got to be time to stop him before it's too late.

He does know. 100%. He’s not fooling anyone. He knows that anarl. He just doesn’t give a f**k. He believes the west is soft, has no stomach for a fight. He’s testing his theory.

They have huge numbers of predominantly dated technology compared to the West

The mistake we made was letting him know the West would not defend Ukraine if he invaded. I doubt if the West would have defended Ukraine anyway but to let Putin know that is like giving a green light to him. You don't play poker by showing your opponent your hand before he has made a bid.

I guess the west is kind of soft when it comes to war, we enjoy freedom and although it has its faults, we enjoy capitalism and with them comes war weariness and on that front he is correct. However, back the west into a corner enough and it will bit back hard, it just takes a lot. He might have the stomach for war but does his army and population? Will be gutted if this descends into war mind. Hopefully we can act as one and pressure the right people financially.

Any idea if they are good economic areas? If the areas want to be Russian (I'm not sure if they do) can Ukraine not just say for anyone not wanting to be Russian, leave. Plead for the West to introduce heavy sanctions on Russia, then make it as awkward as possible for the areas to thrive economically and make a fairly skint Russia pay for its upkeep indefinitely, drain their resources for a lifetime?

He’s only interested in those regions insofar as he can use them as a trigger. Crimea was a test. This is the result.
