The other stuff, however: the petition, the campaigning, the Saudi flags on twitter, the abuse of Khasoggi's widow. The 'richest club in the world' gloating over dirty blood money. The worraboutery. The rapturous applause for MBS' henchman and sanctification of his venal PR woman. All that stuff is vile, and anybody party to any of it needs to reassess their priorities in life and how much a few trinkets bought for you by people who hold the likes of us in contempt are really worth in the scheme of things.

As as been discussed a few days ago if SAFC/or any other club were taken over by the Saudis most fans would be celebrating, and yes I know you will always get the "I would rather walk away" or "No blood money here" etc.
The answer is still the same for every fan who gives up ticket/walks away/stop supporting etc another 10 will be waiting for it, if SAFC were in premiership NUFC in L1 the banter/remarks/slagging off would be exactly the same.
I now expect a load of comments on here along the lines of "not me I'd be finished/I'm nothing like NUFC fans/I'm more concerned about human rights to continue support" etc.......don't kid yourselves football fans the world over are basically all the same

Not everybody is like you. Fortunately. You lot seem preoccupied with the notion that the whole world is just like you. It isn’t. In fact a lot of it f**king despises you. And not just because you stink either.

The earlier post was about the difference between being happy your team might improve vs sticking teatowels on your heads, Saudi flags in your profile, taking to social media to defend one of the worst regimes in the world, and using the unearned billions of some murderous nonce in the Middle East as a stick to beat the fella down the road who happens to support a different football club with.

As I mentioned, the first attitude is one I'd very likely have myself. I wouldn't do any of the creepy shit mentioned after that, though. There are decent mags who get on here who feel the same, so it is possible.

All clubs have fair of idiots (including all the little shits at SAFC who cause bother) and also have the small minority who will wear a tea towel and wave a flag....like I said earlier football fans are basically the same the world over
