Keane on why he turned

It quite clearly says he said it tongue in cheek and was joking with the money comment.

The reason he actually gave is that the club has to be right and it wasn’t right. It wouldn’t have gone on as long as it did if it had all come down specifically to money.
I don't believe that for a minute, KLD clearly wanted him via the like on Instagram. Wouldn't surprise me if his hands were tied financially by the Krankies, hence the statement regarding shareholdings to deflect the blame to them 2.

There is absolutely nothing in those quotes.

He was nothing more than a PR stunt. There isn’t anything about the football club that would remotely attract a Roy Keane type.

Mental. After everything that’s came out of the club this week, why are people now assuming that talks failed because Keane was greedy and unmotivated 😂
So what's the definition of "not right" and "half joked" about the money not being right?
Lack of desire on his part I think it's fair to say, all mouth nee trousers.

Personally, and I know everyone else disagrees, I don’t think he does. He just disagrees with everyone, no matter what the point is. It’s all an act

That's not really true though. He doesn't disagree all the time, he just puts his view across fairly loudly and strongly and people notice it more because it's Roy Keane.

Carragher and Neville have loud debates where they disagree with one another more than Roy Keane does.

All the time was maybe an exaggeration. But he’s a definite contrarian

he won't manage again if it's about money. he'll get far more from his punditry gig than any club is realistically going to offer him at the level he would need to come in at

Always thought Neil was best person we could get in the circumstances but no denying if Keane had agreed the job it would’ve given everyone a huge boost. No hard feelings though, he’s just decided it’s not for him. Haven’t got the feeling he’s that bothered about managing again despite what he says sometimes.

I would imagine the money comment is because of people suggesting he’d asked for £50k a week, which is over double what some premier league managers earn.

As for “not right”, who knows. There was talk of him not being allowed the staff he wanted, not having control over transfers, could be anything really.

With regards to desire, what do people want him to do? Do a talk in and beg for a job?
