Confirmed KLD only owns 41%

So now we've got reports from both camps, a bit of guesswork on my part.

There's a division between the two camps. Both are now trying to force the others hand, Madrox to get more out of KLD, KLD to hope the fans are enough to force out Madrox.
It looks like there's been a huge fallout after the keane fiasco.

BUT the reason this doesn't really make sense is just last week KLD was seen schmoozing at the match with Methven. Again, this could've been Methven's plan, to be seen out, get the fans angry and force a buyout on his terms.

God knows

Theres definitely something not right about the whole thing. This club ffs 😡

I am at the point where I want rid of them all. Lets have a fan run club, if that means being in league 1 or 2 or wherever then fair enough. Don't want to be the plaything of chancers or some billionaire with no connection to the club anymore, they are all in it for themselves and will say do anything to that end.

A few things from those comments by Donald.

1) I'm sure, and someone will be able to locate it somewhere, when the Alvarez hearing raised it's head they went back to Ellis Short and highlighted the issue and there had already been some money set aside to pay that up (from Short).
2) Donald says he's willing to sell up at the previously agreed price, but what if there are other conditions attached that makes that unpalatable to KLD? It's not always about the share price.
3) I assume this money they're paying in as their 'financial obligations and pro-rata to their shareholding' will be deducted from the infamous "£20m" owed when it shouldn't be? Any obligated money now should be separate as KLD isn't using the clubs' money for his obligated share.
Yeah I’d say that it isn’t being paid because it’s unreasonable or in his best interest not to otherwise why would he? Eg if he adds investment and they have to match it saves him investing more cash. We know Donald wanted to sell at a ridiculous profit considering such a bad job he’d done. Ultimately it’s back to what it was before yesterdays statement. Short pretended to write off the debt but didn’t really, and kept some club assets, while also offloading us to two spivs determined on making a fast buck out of the club we love while spending as little as possible on football progress. It’s right that we fume about that. I’m not sure KLD’s massively at fault here other than a few football related errors and using technical language that intentionally or not misinformed.

The funny thing is, if not for that injury time Charlton goal it could have all gone so differently for them (on the proviso that they did actually manage to sell us in the Championship) and we would have had no idea that they were speculators who had no idea what to do if we didn’t go up in year 1.

Why would 2 Southern based clowns buy a Club from the other side of the Country? No allegiance to Sunderland whatsoever.
Ffs Methven would struggle to find it.

It was a pot of gold, a parachute payment as a self financed bridging loan.
The plan was always to sell it on but as you know a Championship price way exceeds one in the lower leagues with assets diminishing.
They have fucked up massively and don’t want to put anymore funds in it themselves but further finance it from others which makes it more complicated for any future sell on.

Not my club but opens up wounds - I would be protesting for sure.
Scum.

Although at the time Donald was playing up, saying we were his cousin’s team (IIRC) and he’d always looked out for us as a result. Posted a Twitter picture of a nephew in an SAFC baby grow.

I was in no doubt that money making was their ultimate aim and had no problem with that as long as they had the vision to get us up and sold to a decent investor. What I didn’t realise was that all of their eggs were in an instant-promotion shaped basket.

Think the Keane debacle was some indicator of that ...so you might be right

KLD like it or not is the only game In town to remove the twats. Bottom line now is its starting look a case of me or them for many fans. right now.... I've had it with these *****... I can stomach more lg1... but not if I'm lining madrox pockets
I get what you’re saying and that’s my guttural response. If we make progress and they have to invest more or dilute, arguably are we emptying their pockets is my point I guess. I don’t know I’m no expert. The spivs money will be made from someone buying their shares. We definitely need to make it clear somehow they aren’t welcome - I’m just not sure whether club progress is a better option. Imagine you’re an investor with big cash (I’m limping towards pay day like with a leaking roof). If we got promoted and were in a position where we could have a crack at the riches of the premier league would you be more likely to pay their share price and then they’re gone ? I just think we should work out the best path to object not the gutteral one. It ears my soul mate that they’ll make this cash out of us, but this is free market capitalist Tory Britain, they own us and this shit show is the world many keep voting for.

This is it like. They've gone on like bairns from the off. One little lie escalating till they've tied themselves in all-sorts of knots.
Imagine how much easier this would all have been if they just said he had taken a 41% stake in the club and that he was going to be running the club day to day, people might have grumbled but now all it's done is feed the conspiracies surrounding the club.

This has all the Hall marks of Donald and Methven grubby hands. Release the % 24 hours before the meeting to cause a shit storm amongst the supporters, come out and and play the victim, but in the same breath say "pay us what we want and we'll go". I'm prepared to cut KLD some slack here if I'm honest. Those two clowns have had him by the bollocks this whole time. However, he did appoint some very experienced staff to his board, so you would think they'd be able to make mincemeat of the likes of Donald. So that does suggest there's a reluctance of any further investment on KLDs behalf. What a mess.

what complete and utter claptrap

Let's get tough. The time for talking is over. Call it extreme if you like, but I propose we hit them hard and hit them fast with a major -- and I mean major -- leaflet campaign, and while they are reeling from that, we'd follow up with a {whist} drive, a car boot sale, some street theatre and possibly even some benefit concerts. OK?
What would you call it?

The Committee for the Liberation and Integration of Terrifying Organisms and their Rehabilitation Into Society

I think RAWA should push for fan representation on the board at the very least.
Even better if they could organise to buy some of the club, but not sure the fans would want to be putting in 10% of the losses every year!
Perhaps we wouldn't have to, buy 10% then find someone who can buy half at some point leaving the fan group with 5% stake
You can only buy what someone is willing to sell.
They would sell it if it made them profit, it would choke a lot of fans to give them profit but it would also instantly solve a problem
