He would have needed his lawyer or representative there to read and confirm contract details. He met players, took training, went to hotel for a kip, watched the Chase and then finalised the deal. Only reason this was weird is we knew it was happening and he was taking training as tomorrow is massive for the club to try and get back to winning ways.

I reckon the no conference was Neil's idea. More important to get on with the job, taking the one session he could at the AoL, and then heading off with the team to be on the touchline tomorrow.
