There was a verbal agreement in place last week and they couldn’t do it, I’m happy to be called for it but you’ll realise the last few I shut up, only commented when people said Andy Reid was going to be the assistant manager and I went against everyone. So you can pipe down you little worm
 
Think we will be having exactly the same conversation this time next year after Alex Neil has been sacked. We will be in exactly the same position (play off's in league 1), giving it shit about the idiots in charge of the club.
Wrong appointment at the wrong time, but it gives an unemployed bloke a contract for a year and a half. I am just waiting for the ''get behind the manager'' messages to come out, and everything will continue as normal.
Alex Neil must have no pride or must be bloody desperate to take this basket case of a job, after Keane turned it down.

We punt our manager, sign an over the hill 39yr old forward,get knocked back by a tv pundit and then give our new man a 12 week contract
What's the plan here like?

Keane was never getting it. Speakmans interview told you everything, same as LJ presser about defoe did

He did do that although its ancient history now. It ended badly with us and indeed Ipswich.

And you get the reward for the first fan to send out the usual 'back him or piss off' and we saw that in the Summer and that at its core is why we really are a hopeless club.
 
I'm a little disappointed after the steak was dangled over our plate.
If he'd been appointed 24-48 hours after LJ i'd have said it was a very good appointment.
