I tend to agree with this.
It’s difficult to apply common sense in the heat of despair, when it’s looking like we have blown another chance of going up,
but it’s a fact that if we end up with skint owners again then it definitely will be “tinpot til I die”
What do you mean IF....it looks to all intents and purposes we still have them.

I’d love to hear your theory on how a second rate PR man managed to convince a family full of billionaires to come and front a football club and act as his puppets.
Unbelievable yes, but he has with the same technique he used on the fans. Why has the family got their people on board now, have they only seen of late what he is ?

Mate it stinks that Methven is involved to me on the basis that he disrespected the fans and the north east and made political statements within an organisation playing on a coal mine - can’t stand him - but the indicators are that Donald has recently been diluted further. The facts we need to see are what power KLD has and what decision making power the other shareholders have. So let’s see what the facts are - but Donald is clearly not making the vast majority at least of day to day decisions about the football club. I’m not protesting over something that might be factually entirely wrong. It would be idiotic
We are being run the same way we were under those two, incredibly badly and with zero ambition. I don’t know what other conclusion to come to when one of them is prominent at our games.

What facts? I saw with my own eyes that little spiv sitting next to KLD and a few days later we are making the same disastrous mistakes we have since he arrived.

It doesn’t take a genius to work out what the real situation is. Unless you believe the “NDA” excuse about shares and why they can’t tell us.
So what does this imply? Seems like you’re implying that KLD has no say and that SD and CM are running the show, would that be a fair assumption of what you’re alluding to?

Still only one person who has said he may think about organising something. Plenty of ‘I’m up for something’. And still plenty of snide remarks about people not doing anything by people who aren’t doing anything.

Glad we've cleared that up. There you have it folks, KLD is now officially on the pitchfork list.
Who are we allowed to blame for this latest disaster then?

Please give us your list of acceptable candidates.

If the “NDA” nonsense wasn’t enough evidence, Methven hanging about should have been. Nothing has changed.

That a lot has changed behind the scenes and in our approach to recruitment etc. etc. And that I do think the plan that they've tried is the right one, whether or not Speakman is the man to implement it or not is a different matter.

BUT, that Methven is still around the place and clearly still has influence - that has to stop.

What over the last four years has convinced you that the ownership didn’t mess this up? They have ruined this club.

Strange how you thought things were going so well just 6/7 weeks ago

So he was lying when he said he had full control over board appointments, full control over all day-to-day and footballing matters, and that that was a non-negotiable element of the deal? Because that's what you're saying. You can't have it both ways.
So if you believe he wanted Keane why did he let Speakman put obstacles in his way to fuck him off ?

Protesting is NOT the answer. The most defiant action we could take is to get right behind the coaching staff, temporary or otherwise, and the players during games.
yeah that has got us to the dizzy heights of league 1 football for nearly 5 seasons
At last, a voice of reason.
don't we already have tin pot owners??

To be fair (and I'm not into the conspiracy/puppet master stuff).... but Methven turning up at the game was stupid when we're in turmoil and when the share issue hasn't been cleared up.

KLD might have control.... but the others seem to have input and influence. That's still concerning and him being there shows a complete lack of awareness, which isn't surprising for Charlie but I'm surprised Kyril thought it was a good idea or good timing.

Yeah. It’s amazing how quickly they’ve managed to mess the whole things up isn’t it?

I allowed myself to believe things might be getting better but I should have known.

How about possibly Roy Keane? Sorry, can't be him - he's been canonised. f***ing up an appointment does not mean Donald is running anything. He only gives a shit about how big his cheque is down the line. Methven will try to influence things, because that's him.

It’s hard to just stop going though. It’s hard to break a habit of a lifetime and it’s not as easy as just giving it up. I appreciate some can, will and have given up but for the majority it’s not that easy. I live 4 and a half hours away and even I can’t give it up. I’ll be at Charlton in a few weeks, for example.

I think there needs to be protests. We’ve sat back and essentially accepted Ellis Short, we sat back and let Stewart Donald, Juan Sartori and Charlie Methven take the club to what we thought was its lowest ebb and KLD has come in, is working with Madrox and has managed to oversee the club dropping even further, whilst being vague and unclear on ownership issues, telling us we have a particular approach to recruitment (which I’m now questioning) and this mess with the appointment of a new manager, who will be an out of work manager, none of which are particularly appetising to the fans.

I’ve had enough of being taken for a mug and pressure needs to be applied. The club is too big and too important to many to be run this atrociously and protests are going to get eyes on the club and people are going to ask questions of the football club and that’s what we need.
It will get easier to break the habit.

I dont agree with Nelson there. However for a bloke who has no say, methven does seem very involved and is alleged to be in the interviews with the candidates. Certainly something amiss with him.

I am not shocked or surprised, seen plenty like you during the short years and will see the same again this time around, the answer to the question is always the same, I guess even if perish the thought we ended up in league two or the national league, it would be exactly the same message, or to put it another way, if it's not positive say nowt!
