this is 99% bollocks because of who it is coming from, but if it is true then I’m on the clubs side. Assuming we don’t have a choice than to do the whole ‘sustainable’ thing throwing wages like that around for somebody that by all accounts could easily be past it is exactly what we need to move away from.

And if those are Keane’s demands knowing our circumstances then it just goes to show football isn’t his passion anymore and he can continue playing a panto version of himself for ££ and wonder what might have been in 20 years when he’s the most liked failed manager on BT Sports clip page.

Average League One manager wage is £3.5k a week. Given that PP’s contract wasn’t due to end till this summer and LJ’s next summer, there’s no way we’ll be paying anyone mega bucks. Ross was on £5k iirc? There’s no way Keane would have asked for £50k.

That would be more than he was getting when we were in the prem 😂

Can’t believe that some people on here are buying into this £50k a week nonsense.

And let’s pretend for a moment he did, why has it took us 2 weeks of interviews to figure this out.

Scruffy Billy making up more rubbish again

If it is true that Sunderland were not prepared to pay 50k a week to Roy Keane then that is an absolute embarrassment. Fans have every right to feel totally let down. Lions led by donkeys
