The reason a lot of people, myself included, went all in on Keane is precisely because all the alternatives for a third tier also ran are so bleak.

We had one decent option that people were excited about and we fucked it up. I don’t k is why people need to pretend this is good.
We have fucked up the appointment process, absolutely. But in terms of acceding to Keane’s demands without question, that’s surely a different matter as no one knows what they were so how do we know the club have fucked up by not appointing him?

Alex Neil seems quite a strong character, I think he'd do ok here. The fact that the fans at his ex clubs seem to have positive things to say about him is a good sign. I wouldn't mind this appointment, pretty decent in the circumstances.

Anyone know what Neil is like as a person? Is he the angry type who can fire a rocket up the players arse like Keane? Or is he more laid back?

It's crazy his managerial CV is almost exactly the same as Keane's yet he is "shite and a sign of how far we have fallen" whilst Keane is "exactly what we need" talk about heart ruling head.

As much as they hate to admit it, Roy didn't want it enough to take it.

He simply doesn't have the charisma or presence that Keane has. Keane would galvanise the club and fans, Neil strikes me as another Grayson, career on a downward trajectory.

What if he is a good appointment? Fans of the clubs he's managed seem to like him. He's probably the best of the rest.
Do you, hand on heart, think he will be?

It’s such an obvious chuckle brothers choice, coming on the back of Methen showing up at the match, but people seem to have forgiven them.
