Incredible how he was our saviour yesterday but public enemy number one today, when no one has any idea about what has been going on in the background this whole time. The only people guilty of building up Keane’s appointment, is us.

Before anyone posts it, FANS FAULT I KNOW.

Once Keane indicated he was interested then they had to follow that up. Maybe he let it drag out thinking that the owner would have to give in to his demands as the hype and expectation in the fan base reached melting point.

Maybe the owners stuck to their guns - offered the best they could afford yesterday (on a "take it or leave it" best offer) and that wasn't enough for Keane.

But as I say, we dont know and will probably never know.

He quit the first time, he’s toyed with us on TV in the last few days and he’s turned us down. That leaves a bitter taste with me.

It's the club's fault that we've supposedly been carefully doing succession planning for over a year, and still could only come up with a list of journeymen whose main qualification for the job is that nobody else wants to employ them.

not seen much in the way of public enemy number one like? the mood seems to be bewilderment at how the club are running things, without much information we don't know why keane walked away from the offer.

Not suggesting we haven’t.

But no job is perfect like. Sorry but Keane talks the talk but at the end of the day after 13 years out of management he doesn’t wanna take a leap of faith

Specifically on the keane thing though, he has bottled it.
 
Whoever comes in if they win the next 3 games the place will be buzzing again.
Get some momentum going for the play offs and who knows ?

I think we can make some educated guesses. That interview by Speakman is one of the bleakest moments in our history. A weird little nerd putting his own job ahead of the best thing for the club. The man is a coward and I can’t wait to see him shown up and for his career to fall apart….I’m just sad we will be the club who suffers because of it:
 
This could be just posturing on Roy Keane‘s part knowing the pressure. It might still happen.
