Lets see what happens to the attendances and see where we set the 'disaster' benchmark (And I mean the actual attendance, not tickets technically sold)I think they always knew he wouldn’t come as his wage and other demands would be far in excess of what we could afford. Personally I think he would have been a disaster.
Whoever gets the job there'll be morons booing the poor bastard at the first match before a balls been kicked. You just know it.

Speakman needs alot to answer for.Its done
This.Speakman needs alot to answer for.
We can all see that they have made a mess of it.
Yesterday, after all this noises coming out of the ITKs, I started to think that perhaps Keane would be appointed but before that I always had my doubts as I suspected money would be a problem.
The frustrating thing is, on the Sunday we sacked Johnson, we all knew that the shortlist would likely to be Warnock, Neil, McCarthy and McCann (Lennon as an outsider). Had they just appointed one of those on the Monday, they wouldn’t be in this situation of looking total and utter tits

Like the Poyet situation before Johnson was appointed. What a balls up.
Its done
What you are describing there mate is Speakman's failings it appears to meThe truth hurts. Johnson should still be manager. We should have bought another centre half and a like for like back up striker for Stewart and we would have got promoted.
Johnson failed because of recruitment and injuries.
Club were never going to be able to attract and accommodate anyone any better qualified than him.
Club is a third division club in all respects bar the fans and facilities. Once you remove that the stark facts are credible people will not put their neck on the line to manage in such a high pressure/expectation environment.
Keane was never going to work IMO and we have probably saved ourselves a load of pain. But Iam disappointed with Keane for not seeing earlier it could not work.
The journey would have been exciting for a time Iam sure. Now completely deflated fans won’t give the new guy anytime not when you consider poor Mike Dodds hasn’t been given any understanding.
This has probably broken the back of the fan base for good. The mismanagement is criminal, and it was never Johnson to blame.
We could end up back where we were in early 70s
I'm sure the usual suspects that the club have rather obviously placed here will be along soon with the "alternative narrative" (if they haven't already).Club will start leaking snippets around Keane's wage demands, if they havent already
THISPeople can say what they want about @rubberface but his source is a good one and he wasn’t alone in being told it was done.
