If it’s not Keane then so be it. Maybe he was right for the job maybe he wasn’t. The problem speakman and KLD have given themselves is that now automatic promotion is over, whoever they bring in has to go on some phenomenal run of results and win the playoffs to even please half of the fan base. Whoever comes in won’t have the support of fans and the first shit result will mean the entire staff will be under relentless pressure. And we can’t even have confidence in front of 39,000 of our fans at home. We are truly fucked. KLD is now in a position where he needs to buy his way out of this league, simple as that.

Yeah people are annoyed and I get it but I didn’t just make shite up for attention I was told from someone around the first team so I shared it here, something’s gone tits up last night as sometimes happens.

How do you know he was asking for ‘mega bucks’, you don’t! Contractual reasons could be a multitude of elements, not just salary.

He also deserves the adulation on here because of who he is and what he did here last time.
 
I’m pissed off at the owners but Keane has to take some blame in it if he’s turned us down.

He’s been saying in interviews how he wants to get back into management and he’s had a great chance here.

I guess until the details come out we don’t know but he’s not going to get a better offer than us at the minute.
 
Club’s stance will be this:
We had identified a list of candidates (that fit the model blah blah)
Then RK expressed his interest…we spoke to him, but couldn’t reach an agreement….so we revert back to the initial candidates who we weee always keen on for the start…
 
The club should have spoken to Keane, or whoever, long before johnson was sacked. It is as clear and simple as that and why it is such a clusterfuck. It has cost us points, and the fanbase is angry at best or done with them at worst. Speakman, as he holds the overall say on football matters, is clearly to blame. He needs to go, plain and simple. Shambles doesn't begin to explain. No matter if it was Keane who pulled the plug in the end, the whole sorry saga has been and continues to be, unbelievably badly handled.

Turned us down, I cannot believe KLD and Speakman could not convince RK to come back to the club, well I can it’s more Keane almost certainly not convinced about the Board. What an absolute shambles we are. 24 year old multi Billionaire owner and the one man who would have raised this clubs standardson and off the field has said no he doesn’t want it..

I didn't think you were that naive. You really believe that sentence you typed? It's just not going to happen.
 
Has no-one else though that this could be the outcome .... Defoe player/manager till the end of the season ..... if what they say is true that LJ never wanted Defoe, and that sparked an issue that led to him going (along with results) then JD is clearly in the minds of KS/KLD ... whether they have the kahunas to do that I hope not but we are Sunderland and we have history of making sh!t management decisions .... Wilkinson anyone? ...

The biggest mistake the club has made in this whole messy ten days or so is to allow the Keane story to grow more legs than a centipede. We should have appointed Warnock the day after Johnson's sacking; a manager far more likely to deliver promotion this season.

Club haven’t tweeted a thing since confirming full time against Cheltenham, silence is deafening.
