That wont bother them man,its money they want and a early pay off when sacked.At the moment they are having to show they are applying for jobs or there benefit is stopped.Highly sort after our short list candidates :lol:
 
I mean, they simply cannot allow us to go into the game on Saturday with f***ing Dodds. We may as well just forfeit the game. The incompetence is grotesque.

But realistically the new gaffer isn’t going to have much time at all to prepare.

Keane is settled in the NW and wants a long contract - 3 years plus - before he would consider moving to NE. This was the position on Monday - not sure how it has progressed. Negotiations will hopefully lead to a workable compromise.

I would hope a compromise could be found.
Personally, I think a 3 year contract is a reasonable ask, bearing in mind the job he has to do, and it looks like he sees this as an opportunity to build something properly.
If both parties are still negotiating that has to be seen as positive, in that they are both keen for this to happen, and get "on the same page".
Surely, if he were to rent a place up and around Sunderland, with a view to a more permanent move later, that could suffice.

They can and they will.

Speakman is like the bus driver who sees passengers as an inconvenience to having a nice drive. Football to him is something that gets in the way of the “philosophy”.

The worrying thing is I can't see it getting any better. We can't afford to write 9 points off when the teams below us are closing the gap at a frightening pace. It's as if it doesn't fit in with the plan to get promoted this season!
