Just got a message saying there's a rumour going round ( I knar )
That all the activity tonight, pitch repairs etc is a cover for ROY to have his pics taken for announcement tomorrow 🙄

I mean it does make sense. If they want him to take up training for tomorrow for example. Doing everything tonight. Interview (it'll be a big one like defoes) photos etc and then just release it all tomorrow

I edited my post mate, after you'd replied.🤣

I'm cynical but always optimistic. There's nothing better in football than watching young lads develop their game, happy enough to watch this play out, albeit I was hoping LJ would get the two to three years required to lay a platform. I'm far from despondent though, I'm confident that if Roy has mellowed, and perhaps more pertinently, given the time, he'll rise to the challenge. It takes years, not months, to make a lasting contribution to sustained future success.

Dio not see this shit show ending well from all sides, if you give someone a timescale then stick to it.
Don't let 1 side dictate all the moves.
Just get him signed up FFS
I'm off to sleep now up at 7am

From the Echo: Sunderland expect to make an appointment before the weekend, and there is still cautious optimism that Keane can be convinced to take the challenge on.

Fake news or not?

Defoe would have been announced properly last Wednesday mid-morning/afternoon instead of Tuesday night/Wednesday early morning, had he not talked to @weephillie at the gates meaning the social media team couldn't hide from it.

This time, with whoever the manager might be, there's nobody floating around the AOL or SOL and they've got all the time in the world (from their perspective, not fans') to prepare all of the normal press and social media stuff.

I think it will be Keane appointed but, after the last two games, do we REALLY care who it is as long as they can organise us and make changes at the right time etc to give us a chance of automatic promotion? Personally, I couldn't give a fuck who it is, as long as they help us get out of this tin pot league.
