It doesn’t in the premier league. It would in this league IMO. It’s not like the players carry all the power down here

What’s power got to do with anything? Players just tend not to respond to it. My brother plays in the northern league and just switches off if all the coaching team can do is just shout and not offer any constructive criticism

At this point a "safe pair of hands" in someone like Alex Neil would not go amiss. Maybe thats the plan, drag it out just a bit longer to reset expectations.
Totally think that's what it is. Situation gets so desperate the longer it goes on so that folk just want any manager in charge by then. They can just appoint who they want.

I think its other commitments - Sky, ITV etc etc holding the deal up. The club, as his employer, should have placed a timescale on the start date.

The massive delay is probably because they know the fans want Keane, but for whatever reason they can't deliver that now, and they're panicking like fuck and don't know what to do.

“Massive delay”, still not taken as long as Everton did in appointing Lampard

For all the pelters we have been giving at Dodds and Proctor in our moments of fury, on reflection I feel bad having calmed down a bit and having taken stock of the last 4 or 5 days. Those two who have been pushed into a place they didn't want, actually feel sorry for the blokes as they are hopelessly out of their depth and it can't be nice being hauled in front of a camera to explain.

The ****houses above hiding away at the same time.
They didn't want to do it as they knew they would be well out of their depth but they weren't given an option from what I've heard.... thrust unwillingly into the spotlight to take the flak whilst those responsible rearrange the deckchairs on the Titanic.

They had a chance to lift us this morning with an announcement re: Keane coming in & then having two days with the players before Wimbledon.

They've failed - again.

This is an utter PR disaster from the club - a 1st class clusterfuck. Speakman is fast losing friends here..........
