WMS Who Owns Sunderland AFC?

I really think they're going to experience this next season if they appoint another patsy such as McCann and keep this smoke and mirrors act. People got onboard for the new regime's soundbites - a new way of recruitment and a long-term etc but are starting to question the running of the club again. Dinald, Methven and Sartori have relied on us turning-up blindly but I think they'll soon get a shock.
I agree. I think there's been reasons for not experiencing a major drop in attendances but there's only so far you can push the fans. First season down here people stuck with it because there were new owners and we expected promotion. We went close, which meant people had hope and optimism for the next season. Then there was Covid going into the third season so it was all pretty much on hold, although a lot renewed partly to give the club some revenue and partly guarantee their seats for when it opened up again. Going into this season people were glad to be able to attend again and there was optimism restored because of kld and the new approach. That relief at being able to attend again has evaporated. The optimism around kld and the data driven approach is rapidly evaporating. If they don't start making some good decisions (including not putting prices up again during a cost of living crisis, and particularly getting Keane in and having a go at winning the play offs) they're going to lose a lot from the gates who have simply stopped believing

I’m not doubting your knowledge of the intricacies of the deal. I am doubting your internet persona of casual Irish fan to be sure.

So if the chancers had refused the para money thing what was ES‘s next move? Sell to whoever offered the most? Close SAFC down and lose the lot? Settle for a smaller amount of the para money? Raffle off SAFC?

Whatever it was you have just proven that theyre only here because of a deal that’s not allowed in current English football rules without a special committee giving it the nod. One of that committee miraculously emerged at SAFC as CEO a few months later. wow!
his next move? well he would have been running the club..so he could have taken the para money and then sold to whoever the next best offer was...ie it wasnt in the power of anyone else to stop him taking the para money..he was chairman of the club..

There needs to be some form of protests if things continue. Madrox simply need to be out of the clubs nd if KLD is going along with them, he's making a rod for his own back.

My feeling is he's probably bought into madrox or some crap and doesn't own what fans are led to believe
If the ownership structure was straight forward, they would have released it. The only reason not to make it public is they have something to hide.

he definitely hasnt bought into madrox...the company that owns safc now is called mercator..that company owns 100pc of safc..but who owns mercator-and in what percentages-thats what we dont know...

100%.

Conveniently.

I've said this since it became apparent that the Chief Chancers still held a significant shareholding.

I know Storey said a lot of things but he did warn us it was merely a redistribution of shares

So what if the 3 stooges own more than we think? What if Kld and the current regime are completely out of their depth and running the club into the ground? What if we don't get Keane? There's nothing we can do about it. So we all pack our season cards in, then what? The club dies. The situation is a mess, but I agree we do need clarity.

they do...and out a lot of cash in last year..
Where did you Charlie get the money to put in? I thought his 6% was sweat equity for being the executive director in the first takeover, and other than the fact he has a family rich enough to send him to Eton, his career to date does not suggest a football club owner level of wealth.
