Speakman is responsible for letting Flan go without a replacement. Of his signings last Jan, Stewart has been a big success, Winchester has blown hot and cold but ok overall and Jordan Jones was just an ineffective show pony. The jury is still out on all the summer signings. Doyle started well but is now a liability, Huggins has been unable to contribute at all. Hughins, Broadhead and Evans all had fitness issues before signing. Cirkin has been disappointing. Pritchard started poorly but has done well recently. We still don’t have cover for Stewart.

I can forgive any mistakes in the above but appointing a manager of 10 years experience of achieving precisely nowt was his biggest mistake. However, since he has achieved precisely nowt himself, maybe employing LJ made him feel comfortable. We have philosophies, processes, data analysis and a 5year plan, all of which are made to sound like we have stumbled onto something special.

Being without a manager at this stage of the season indicates how incompetent he is.
The view that Speakmen has got recruitment right is not one I share for all the reasons you state. Wigan didnt even have 11 players in the summer.

The decision to remove Johnson was the right one but should have been done last summer.

The delay and obvious lack of any plan has been an absolute shambles since last Sunday. If he was telling the truth about second interviews at the weekend when Keane was available was either stupid or ridiculous.

He gave us two inexperienced duck eggs to manage the team in front of 38,000 people on Saturday with the subsequent result against the team bottom of the league.

If he doesnt deliver Keane and gives us McCann or Lennon the fans will make his position untenable.

Mind, no reason to assume they're right, but if they are they're making it sound as if it's us holding it up, not Keane. Surely when it's Keane, mccann, Neil, lennon and lamouchi there's not really much of a decision to make?
Surely we aren’t the ones making the decision?? If he wants to come, we get him.
Did you not swap numbers with him?
Not him no, but got a few decent contacts that day!! 😉😉

The fans won't make his position untenable. There will be lots of stamping of feet on here but most fans will give the new manager a chance come what may. Lennon would be a kick in the teeth but Neil or McCann would be pretty acceptable to most.
