Roy Keane

As he has clearly stated that he wants a return to management, I would be am amazed if he didn’t have a release clause inserted.

With a substantial bonus if he achieves promotion
Andy there is no release clause in the Sky or ITV deals as long as they fulfil the existing agreed games.
I got that yesterday off a pundit.

I voted for Big Sam, and i'll be fumin if we don't get Keane now.

I voted for an experienced man manager and I'll be as radged as buggery and as suicidally furious as a supernova in a far off galaxy ...to the extent that time itself will alter and the very principles of physics and of life itself will no longer apply if Roy Kent isn't appointed in the next five minutes. I'm f***ing counting down now Speakman. You've been warned!

Have this horrible feeling that Keane wanted too much and they’ve decided on McCann till the end of the season
My guess wages are not the problem, but financial support and ambitions of the project might be not good enough for keane. ..Remember if it fails he wont get another chance ....so its a big decision for keane.

Bit misleading - most will have voted based on who they thought was realistic. Until the story broke re. him wanting the job, most people surely wouldn't have contemplated that Roy Keane would consider a managers job in League One.
Perhaps. I get that. But there’s no denying there is a decent percentage who are less than enamoured.

I’ve come round to it somewhat, after initially thinking it barmy. Still think it will go fully tits up though. That’s what’s 50 years of supporting Sunderland does for me us I guess.

I'd like to think that someone can explain to Speakman that this is an embarrassing and incompetent way to run " football operations" at a professional club.

Might need a spreadsheet and some data so that he can get his head around it.

Absolute charlatan.
Why don't you just cut and paste this post and then post it every 20 or 30 minutes. It would save you time. And, yes, I did the same regarding Lee Johnson.

also RK actually has contractual obligations to work out with sky and ITV..that could be the hold up
In terms of what, if any, TV work he can still do, that could be an issue. I'm sure his sky contract will allow for him to leave if a suitable managerial job comes up though, loads of pundits seem to have those clauses, and Keane has long wanted a return, so I'd be amazed if he didn't have that in place. I believe his itv work is free lance so probably not got a contract as such to worry about

another ton of pages since last checked. Anything changed?
Nope. Just more people, more determined to invent disaster and work themselves into a coronary. They do it all to themselves, its quite amazing to watch.

Everyone and his dog has been blamed for an endless list of invented difficulties, problems and glitches. I'm quite intrigued to know how much further people could wind themselves up. How long could this be sustained?
