“The figures included within the report cover the period from 01 August 2019 through to 31 July 2020.

During this period, which featured an eighth-place finish in a curtailed League One season, the club had a turnover of £29.2 million.”

Indeed. He hasn't got a f***ing clue. Probably is Methven then.

So no, the club doesn't "turn over £1m" then. Thanks for that.

And yeah, I'd have absolutely no problem with that whatsoever. I can think of a few under-qualified jargon-spewers who could go to free up some of it, straight away.
so you would sack the DOF? ok that gets you a fewhundred grand back..but the cost of that would go straight out the door to pay for keanes assistants etc..

Keane "not naturally tallented"? Give Ower man
he wasnt as naturally talented as many of his peers..for example, scholes or giggs..or in the ireland context, damian duff..thats why keane was later coming to the professinal game than those guys..at the sma eage when keane was on a sort of dole scheme in cork..ryan giggs had already become a star for man utd..

Yes. Of course that's what I'd do.

What kind of football club decides to hand control of its football operation to someone with zero experience outside running youth team programmes for a Championship club. It's an absolutely mental thing for us to have done - resulting in our woefully inexperienced and unbalanced squad, and the absolute circus of the last ten days (and counting).

what sort of club does it?
most DOFs start off as youht coaches..its absolutely standard practice.

Love how Kildare apparently didn’t care enough about this place for years but knew about it, then one day signs up and now cares enough to know the financial details of the club inside out.

Even knows how much Defoe made us after VAT.

Charlie man you’re fooling nobody

He doesn't know them that well. He understated out turnover by a measly 2920%.

If this is true then you’re right it is a farce but not on the clubs part.

Any negotiations over Keane’s TV commitments means he’s not 100% focused on the job here and we should walk away and appoint someone who is.

If he takes the job but still commentates on FA cup games and international games until the end of the season would people be arsed if we're winning games

Imagine being Keane up against McCann and it takes this long.

Speakman will be waiting on some data man, and a spreadsheet, and a power point. Who needs football experience when you have certificates in all of the relevant Microsoft desktop applications.
