Decent article from Wilson on the incompetence of the club's hierarchy over the last week.

"Heading into Saturday’s home game with Doncaster Rovers without a manager in place was a bad decision. Journeying to Cheltenham Town tomorrow night with a temporary managerial structure still in place rather than a new boss would be utterly unforgiveable.

What on earth are Kyril Louis-Dreyfus and Kristjaan Speakman doing? Did they really jettison Johnson without having decided what to do next? And having watched their side underperform spectacularly at the weekend, do they really think things are going to be any better at Cheltenham?
"

In an ideal world I would agree with this I. Principle but I think you’re being incredibly generous. They have made a right mess of the situation and need to repair it quickly by getting Keane installed. The other candidates are very poor.
I think McCann and Neil are better than Johnson, personally and that's the main thing.

I think Lennon or Warnock would be a disaster.

Keane? Idk. It's a massive gamble. I'd roll the dice like, there's no doubt imo that he has the highest ceiling and is most likely to get us to the top of Championship over a 2-3 year time horizon. But in all honesty it such a gamble that I think for promotion this year that McCann is probably the highest percentage shot. People won't like that, but think it's true.

99% of managers won’t leave the club in a higher position usually. Otherwise a non league club could just make someone manager and expect to be in the Prem within 10 seasons.
I'd disagree. I think a manager will improve a club, which is why they'll get noticed, and then invariably move on to a club further up the ladder to progress their career.

Not always the case as there seems to be a merry-go-round of the same managers always getting jobs but I don't agree with your reasoning.

Can someone find Speakman a new spreadsheet please? The first one seems to have crashed.
His team needs briefing on why the weekend was actually a roaring success and eh, we didn't in fact get another humiliating walloping and I think we can all agree its the fans fault... I wouldn't even be shocked if speakman doesn't want Keane at all and would rather like to give Dodds his chance, because he fits the project far better than some old fella who thinks football is about what happens in 90 minutes.

This is just written for the clicks. It's chaotic because yes, it was unplanned. They took a principled decision that 6-0 in the third tier = and automatic sack. Good.

But how many new managers are in place within ten days? Can't be more than 50%. So it's hyperbolic clickbait.

I wouldn’t want any of them darkening our door and it’s a sad indictment of where we are as a club that they are our options. The only outlier is Keane because of his prior relationship with the club.

Hull fans could not wait to see the back of McCann, despite his promotion. Even last season they wanted him out.

You could say the same about Roy Keane
Well unless you are calling RK a liar because he told Gary Neville that he had an interview at his house from a championship club.He isnt in the position of the other drips waiting for Universal Credit to be bumped up,its us he wants to manage and has said so loads since he left.

It’s 100% spot on: this is a mess.

Id give Keane an 18 month contract with an agreement that we can part ways after 6 months if Keane is unhappy or agrees to leave (i.e its not working out)

I think fans who want rid of a manager who delivers promotion and comparative stability this year in the Championship are clearly suffering from mag-like delusion to the point that we should ignore then.

Who the fuck do they think they are? We should be so lucky to get that here. Would be better than our last six managers.

You’re the only poster who has been unwavering on here so I’m hoping your info is correct.

They’ve made a monumental mess of the PR, I’d love to hear what Speakman thought he was doing with that interview. However if he is announced soon there’s time to turn it around again.
Listen, i only post what i've been told mate. Obviously if it was discreet, then i wouldn't post. Last 20 mins, "don't know what the hold up is". Like i've said all along, posting what i've been told . It's defo not off Keane's behalf, all this.
