Definitely sounds like alex neil is in the running

Good.
It’s Keane or Neil for me. The rest of those linked don’t appeal tbh though Warnock would be the most likely to shithouse us up in the short term. I cant see Keane being here in five years time whereas I can see Neil being here.
I think the time for a game cheat or joker card has now come though.

I want RK as the manager but if he wasn’t some one on their shortlist prior to sacking LJ, even though he was an out of work manager, then why is he now included on their list?

Yes, it’s great PR and something the majority of fan want but is they really the way to run a football club? If it’s a data driven process and heavy on analysis, surely they should be going with coaches they’ve identified to fit the philosophy?

I genuinely have no idea how the stuff in the background is working or what it looks like. I hope it’s not all fur coat.
But who's to say the philosophy is right? They had a manager playing to the philosophy and it didn't work so the manager took the can, but was the recruitment right for the philosophy? Is the philosophy right? How long do we persist with it before deciding, actually it's wrong we need to change it?
We should have had an U-23's manager in charge who could have stepped in but that's been vacant for 3 months meaning we had to give the interim role to a development coach. I'm not sure things are running in the background as well as they might, especially considering the recruitment has left us very lightweight in defence, attack but with an abundance of wingers and short on experience throughout.

If Speakman is still deliberating, then he should also factor in the intimidating affect Keane will have on League One officials because he’ll absolutely ruin them if they get a decision wrong. Forged from Ferguson and Clough that lad

it is not really down to fine lines though is it?
the outcome of fine lines determine the difference between good and average managers.
take Chris Wilder as an example, you could say his victory against Man Utd was a fine line which could have went either way, but he come out on the right side of that fine line. At Sheffield Utd to get 2 x consecutive promotions there would have been many fine lines, but the difference between him and Lee Johnson is the fine lines tend to go in his favour whereas they do not with LJ. Some people think that is lucky or unlucky.
actually it is not, it is the difference between getting the job done and not.
Totally agree. I the long term Johnson got found out. Had we held out against Wycombe he may well still be in the job. In my view he was not capable of delivering his target of promotion. My point was that on Saturday Stewart had an easy chance in the first half. Had that gone in we probably would have won and the talk today would be about taking our time to make the right choice. That would not mean Dodds was in any way the right man.

Sure Clough was respectful of referees or have i made that up?

Positive I heard him defend referees on TV saying the way the media treat them was a disgrace

Proctor and Dodds 100% taking the game tomorrow, don’t think it means anything on the Keane situation but had it confirmed so thought I’d share that great news
Couldn't be anything else really considering last training session was probably this morning and travelling down this afternoon. At best any new manager may have had a few words in the dressing-room prior to the game.

Defo not saying that mate, just the other names that are being linked are completely uninspiring
There's no doubt that the club has painted themselves into a corner. Clear that Keane is the prime candidate for both the club and the fans. If they get it done - or even already have it agreed - then it doesn't matter. Failing to get it over the line will leave primarily KLD and his brother looking incredibly foolish. Speakman will be the one getting it in the neck, though.

You can’t plan for 5 years with any Manager. Even successful managers tend to tail off eventually, Denis Smith, Peter Reid or if we did stumble upon a good one some other team would be after him, Big Sam.

I think RK is a done deal but it’s the back room staff that need tying up. He’ll want xyz from clubs abc and that’s going to take time I suspect. Nothing at all to base that on but would make sense to me.

What are your credentials as ITK?

I asked last week , but didn't get an answer , "why did Neil leave Preston , was he sacked , were the results crap , anybody know ' ?
EDIT : hmmmm 3 wins in 17 games and a 0-1 home defeat ( 3rd defeat in a row ) , was the final straw. I'm out he's not for me.

again the arrogance of the club thinking they can just let games go and we will still be alright. We saw that with the COVID cases and we saw it on Saturday, looks like we will witness another tomorrow

I can't see Tweets anymore*, what does if it say!?

*not sure why either, could see them alright last week.
It’s a Bob Mortimer Train Guy video.

I think now if you’re not logged into Twitter you can’t see previews. I tried scrolling through Twitter the other day and only got a few posts down before it asked me to log in.
