I thought the whole point of having the setup and structure we have was to easily transition from one head coach to another?

I was by no means an LJ fan but if they were looking to get rid of him they surely should have had the next man ready and waiting.
They rocked up in black polo necks saying things like data driven, effective, one step ahead of the game

Now they’re trying to tempt Keane into a cage wearing week-old clothes

It's an absolute farce. The 'integrity' line has wound me up.

I work in HR so the need for following a process in recruitment is something I understand, but you can't really compare day to day business operational recruitment and that of football management. There are no internal candidates, you could literally appoint the first person who applied and fuck the rest off if you wanted to. It's unnecessary business speak from Speakman and a complete lack of awareness of our current situation.

I want RK as the manager but if he wasn’t some one on their shortlist prior to sacking LJ, even though he was an out of work manager, then why is he now included on their list?

Yes, it’s great PR and something the majority of fan want but is they really the way to run a football club? If it’s a data driven process and heavy on analysis, surely they should be going with coaches they’ve identified to fit the philosophy?

I genuinely have no idea how the stuff in the background is working or what it looks like. I hope it’s not all fur coat.
You would think so, but (and I'm simply guessing here) Keane is regarded as a pundit rather than an out of work coach, so he'd lie outside the data sets. Then (pure speculation) let's imagine there's a conversation been between Keane & David Jones during which Keane expresses an (unexpected?) interest that Jones communicates to Dreyfus and/or Speakman, which understandably piques their interest. That might cause them to be flexible in their thinking, assuming Keane could persuade them that he could work within the current structure (whatever that is!). Who knows, but I guess we'll find out in due course....

Exactly, almost as if he’s desperate/always feels the need to go on about it. Smacks of someone trying to justify a living for me.

It's not quite as simple as that - we need to interview at least one BAME.

Watched the N Forest game at the weekend.......if thats the standard of player in a mid table /playoff championship side ...power! pace! and skill!.... They made our team look like a bunch of zimmer frame using borrowers!
I had the exact same reaction when I was watching the same game. That the current issue is two fold, the team is tanking in the league one and a million miles away from anything the championship has to offer.
