In fairness, your judgement when it comes to what makes a decent manager has spoken for itself over the last three or so years. All have failed. So using your expert logic, Keane should be a shoe in!

If you think the short term aim for Sunderland should be anything other than firstly starting to win games, getting promoted and then winning consistently then you’re utterly deluded.

If you asked SAF what his primary job was he would reply to win games and deliver trophies.

Everything else is secondary to that. It is very easy to build a footballing strategy around winning results.

It’s impossible to when you’re losing
