He’s a data freak. Surely he should be running the candidates data then interviewing once. If he needs two interviews to decide if a feller whose work record is out in the open for all to see then it’s him that needs reinterviewing.
Professional football team management requires analysing a situation quickly then making a decision on the hoof. How many days into this mess before someone says to themselves “Hmmmmm maybe we should be doing a bit more of what we’re going to be asking the succesful candidate to do”. How long before it occurs to these idiots that some other club with an itchy trigger finger may already be sounding out our second rounders?

I remember in the first covid lockdown I listened to an interview with Methven (Kildaremackem) and he said he was walking away from football ownership to concentrate on data analytics in football. Few months later we get a takeover and we go down the data analytics route can’t be coincidence, the whole model stinks of Methven involvement.
NO. The quite justified complaint is that the guy who works professionally, all day, every day, for a living in football thought it a good idea to pick the same team that got battered 6-0.

But yes Speakman shouldn’t have put him in that position in the first f***ing place. Donald rightly got criticised for putting people in positions they weren‘t qualified for, we complain when we play players in the wrong position, but Harry Flashman can get away without appointing an U23 coach and mistakenly thinking that an Individual Player Development Coach can all of a sudden pick a team to win, just because it was ” Doncaster Rovers”. Again sheer arrogance from the club and the people appointed to run it
