How do you know:
A) The lift wasn’t fixed
B) The money was spent
C) How many interviews Everton had for the last two appointments.
i know everton had at least one round of interviews..it wasnt done on just a whim of an owner.
the money was spent because the club dont owe it now..they waited until kld came..though imdicating they hadnt it before..so it must have been spent..

and keane cant get a job as a manager for 12 years
Of course he could. He turned down a job in the Championship only recently. Remember his words…. THE CLUB HAS GOT TO WANT YOU, YOU HAVE GOT TO WANT THE CLUB, THE CONTRACTS MUST BE RIGHT.
Keane will not accept a job under any other circumstances no matter how bad he wants to be a manager again

Its disrespectful. If they can't judge a candidate on one interview they should be sacked.

GEC used to have a system whereby the person selected by a line manager had to have a second interview with either the local MD or, if the local MD was doing the selection, a GEC main board director. Essentially a short list of one to ratify the line manger's decision. Could be that Speakman's made a decision, and the preferred candidate has to see KLD.

The fact they are having to go through the interview process at all speaks of the inept job that is being done at the club. What happened to, sack the manager and going after the person you really want, regardless of if they are in a job already or not. Frigging amateur hour again, waiting for interested parties to submit their C.V’s WOW!

which job did he turn down? thats a proper scoop you have there if you know that?

So you’re guessing and using it as fact in a discussion?
Thanks for clarifying.

Realistically where is he going to go?

He's a done his time in the lower leagues - proven he can take a failing club and get it promoted.

When he couldn't or didn't want a gig, he stayed involved with football taking assistant roles to very established people.

Look at the big teams where he probably deserves a shot at managing and there's very few of them who would employ him simply because he's Roy Keane:

- Manchester City - No
- Arsenal - No
- Liverpool - Absolutely not

It would be fair to say that he should have put his hat into the ring each time the Man Utd job has come up, but maybe he doesn't want to risk that legacy.

You could argue a team like West Ham or Everton would be perfect for him in all honesty and he could probable do those jobs for a long time. Most other teams are too small for him - he just likes us.

I doubt he'd fit in with the regimes at Spurs or Chelsea.

If they think the fans are restless now, if we get beat on Tuesday without a Manager, not only will the knives be out for Speakman, KLD will start to take flak too. Get it sorted out pdq.

KLD is being closely watched now by the fans too see if he is not another Donald esq smooth talker.

Very little investment so far for one we were told is super rich.

FFP can't buy players... blah.

Little spent on the infrastructure etc either.

Smoke and mirrors again many would say.

I think it depends on the candidate. For Roy Keane it should be simple. There are thousands of hours worth of footage of him talking football. It seems a bit fruitless for him.

On the other hand some of the other coaches like that one in Australia it might be worth it.

I’m not reading too much in to Nixon as he gets a lot wrong.

And often reports stuff days after it's already happened.

wonder why he cant? he was interviewed for the azerbijan job..thats the level he has had to look at

He wants the right job, we’d all be the same. He’s a unique character, the money won’t matter to him, the right club / connection / potential will. Thats why i still think he’ll come

Why is KLD liking posts with Keane if he's to interview him? Hardly professional? Think all of this is unlikely. Its all just poorly managed.
