We need to start winning again, and sharpish, if we are to have any chance of making the playoffs and actually getting through the fucker with some momentum.

Stop wasting time, get the f***ing contract drawn up and signed.

If them losers are in charge at Cheltenham it’s too f***ing late. We need points NOW!

The club and players are hiding behind this long term plan narrative. We need to go up now or we lose key players which affects the long term plan. The more I think about this, the more it should be Roy Keane. I can't abide the thought of another Johnson clone calling the players by their nicknames and getting docked away from home.
They pretty much all do that.

I still haven't written Speakman off yet but he's had a car crash over the last week or so. It's worrying though that we seem to have so many muppets in the coaching department and it's difficult to see a situation where the appointment of Keane wouldn't shake things up somewhat. On balance, it's probable the Speakman doesn't want Keane but equally he knows that he might be on thin ice if someone like McCann is appointed because the fans won't have any patience.

I don't think the club will change their long term plan.
We will be sticking with the data driven approach and Speakman is here to stay. It's only a couple of days ago he was getting high praise for excellent recruitment.
I still think Keane will want to come as long as he's happy with the length of contract and he gets to rubber stamp and have the final say on players in and out.
We're all naturally deflated after a very poor display yesterday.
I still chose to believe that KLD and Speakman know what they're doing and are going to do the right thing in our best interests.
If Keane turns us down I think he gives up all hope of becoming a Manager and will have to resign himself to a life of punditry.
I think the opportunity, the timing and club itself will be too much of a draw to turn down.
I still think he'll come in and become our next Manager. We should give him 18 months and back him to do his thing. He'll be desperate to get it rigtt and prove the doubters wrong. That's what I think anyway. Glass half full. Has to be. Ha'way Sunlun get it awer the line please.

This’ll be the easiest gig Keane will get. If he does a shit job Speakman will get it in the neck. You’ve only got to look at this place and safc Twitter now they can’t pin it all on the MicroManager.

Keane does it
KLD will be having doubts, Done some good business and invested a fair bit, to be 1 place above last season. It isn't good enough.

We'd be daft to throw away our long term plan and bring in another outright manager. Keane has to work with Speakman if he's gonna come in.
Im swaying back to this like

It just seems like it would be to make the fans happy if its him. Although I wouldn’t complain

They're not hiding behind it, we're finally doing the right things in the long term, signing players who will improve here and either make us money or improve the team. It's exactly how Brentford got to where they are, and it's our best hope.

To throw that away we'll be going back to lurching from one manager to another every 18 months, each one wanting their own players, given time to implement their style etc.

It isn’t good enough and it’s not arrogant to say it.

Four seasons in league one and we’ve gone into the season with Gooch one of the first names on the team sheet. There’s other problems but that highlights it for me.

Johnson was never the right man and I’m wondering who actually appointed him because it happened on the cusp of the takeover. The appointment suggests Donald and do on the basis LJ has achieved fuck all and suggests the new model as he was a head coach.

The long term plan and dof have to be right, I'm all for that system. But is it? We've left ourselves ludicrously short, have a team of hobbies and look no better than where we finished last season. There needs to be some accountability.

Some good points. However we need out of this league, don’t throw away the long term plan but if we need to put in on hold till the summer and reassess then so be it.

I agree with that and that’s why everything I have heard from Speakman suggests someone a million miles away from Keane however I want Keane so don’t care

We have to go up, if we don’t we start again.

I’d rather get a motivation merchant in now to potentially go up in the playoffs than appoint someone coach whose gonna take time to get his philosophy across only to not go up and lose half his squad in the summer and be starting again.

Johnson hasn't even lasted 18 months under this new plan. What do you man 'back to'?

I'm a fan of the model, but it hasn't been a success so far. Hence why Johnson has gone and we are a mighty 1 place above last season. KLD is clearly not happy.
