Just feel we've put all our eggs in one basket style wise and that will not suit Roy. Can't see the club ripping up the plan for him.

for me the biggest issue is the quality of the senior players, they arent anywhere near good enough, winchester, evans

if we had a depth of good pros, we could rotate the youngsters out of it
Neil, Doyle and Cirkin are all good young players I am pleased we have, but they are desperate for a rest

Said it earlier in the thread, after that interview if I was Keane I’d be thinking “I can’t work with Speakman, who the fuck is this prick” he’s everything Keane hates in football.

Keane is the only choice they have now.
After today’s disaster they have no choice but to agree to what he wants and get him in.
Regardless of the “ philosophy “ or whatever buzz word they’re promoting, it will mean nowt if the fans start turning on the players or owners again.
Keane will 100% go in and raise standards and demand everything from the players and staff which in my opinion will be enough to win games at this level.
I think this league is over egged by people. It’s a shite shocking standard.
If we could press high and simplify our game to play in our opponents half rather than our own we’d find they’d make more mistakes and panic.
We did it at the start of the season and played with energy but it all seems to have disappeared.
Get the enthusiasm and confidence back with a manager everyone believes in we will get back on track

Because he really wants to be a manager and he wont get a better offer than Sunderland, he just wont
So if he turns it down he has been lying the last year about wanting to go back to management
I love the bloke mate, like am sure you do. But today has to make him think, he has nothing to gain from this team. He’s going to make play offs at best, would we be happy with that realistically? Would we shite. If he really wants to come back he would be wise to wait till end of season because Pep wouldn’t get us promoted this year. Gap is too big with 16 games to go when you look at PPG
