I’m going to bed, the club have taken the piss once too often today. Shower of shite the whole lot of it.

As for that caretaker, he should be sacked on the spot for playing more or less the same team.
..which caretaker? There was Dodds, Proctor n Preece all 'deep in thought'. Mike Bassett would have done a better job.
It’s a term of affection
Not in need of that tonight. Club is a joke atm.

They've taken a massive shit on the feelgood factor, and the feeling, or at least the anticipation of momentum. Not sure where they go when McCann is unveiled!
..he wont be but Speakman has basically pissed on everyones chips...when there was no need to.
Suggests that they're maybe moving away from keane unfortunately.
We aren't/haven't. Unless something has happened literally prior kick off.

I was generally of the opinion that it was a free hit to the end of the season. Definitely coming round to settling in for 18 months with Royston now. So long as I never see us be as soft as we were today.

I think the problem will be level of autonomy he'd expect. I couldn't see him carrying on with that tippy tappy across the back line shite that's so embedded atm and so pointless.

The initial "mission statement" from Speakman and backed up by Johnson after the Lincoln play off second leg first half was that it would be high tempo, high press. I think Keane could certainly live with that and the fans loved that 45 minutes against Lincoln. It hasn't been much in evidence this season tbh.

One thing this does appear to have uncovered is how paper thin the veneer of stability, organisation and professionalism is at our club.
We have chugged along his season supposedly safe in the knowledge that KLD and co. were stable in their outlook and plans, when all along they are like swans, all cool and calm above the water, but paddling like fuck underneath.
No alot has changed as it turns out.
I think Speakman and co’s thorough approach will not dividends over time. Balancing that with short term success though requires good decisions. I don’t think Johnson was a bad one - they’re all gambles and he did some good but didnt quite make the best choices to win enough games but you can see how we have squad players now for Johnson’s system which is flawed which weakens the next man. We just need a winning coach/ manager now which will buy time for the thorough approach to bed in. Being too purist may be counter productive with this one. In a way if the first team fails the plan might not be around long enough to bear fruit.
