The difference here is last time he had a transfer window and he was able to bring in a group of players that completely changed the side. Another in January to add more to get us promotion.

This time he’ll need to do it with the utter shower we’ve got now.

Im now of the opinion that if it’s now not Keane only Warnock is sheer bloody minded enough to make a decent fist of the season. The other supposed candidates will struggle to get into the playoffs.

He shouldn't be judged on the outcome of this season though, that's my point. Appoint him, give him a level of autonomy he can live with and give him a two and a half year deal.

I’d be absolutely amazed if Keane was appointed and still here two and a half years later.

The average tenure of our managers in the last ten years must be about ten months and there’s been very, very few of them with anything like the volatile nature of Keane.
