I wouldn’t be surprised to see him do well under Keane, he’ll absolutely hammer home the message of pass, move, keep it simple. Sort his decision making and get him looking up and he’d be a different player. Keane managed to turn one of the worst right backs we’ve ever had in to a very effective centre half, Gooch has more natural ability to work with.
 
Wigan style compared to ours
They are very direct get ball into box very quickly create a lot of chances
We piss about with possession football and get nowhere more often than not
