I'm going to get pelters but I agree with you. I feel like appointing Keane is an appointment based on the fans reaction and pleasing them, and not whether he'll be actually successful or not. No one really knows much about his coaching ability because he's been out of the game as an actual manager for so long, and his last stint was dreadful. I love Keane for what he did last time round, but there are big question marks over this for me. If he had managed a different club and took them to the premier league 15 years ago, then I don't think he'd even get a look in tbh.

There's more to it than just motivating though, isn't there. I mean after 15 years, do we even know how he'll try to play football? How he'll organise a defence? What formation he'll play. He won't be allowed to sign players because of the DoF, which takes away one of my biggest concerns. You need more than a manager who can just give the players a rocket now a days.

The thing with Keane as being possible manager is more the fact he would not come if owner was half arsed. I've never thought he was but this would prove it.

I agree but just announce the bugger for me like. Unless not agreed of course. Which to me can be only reason. We must win either way.
