What might Keano want in a contract? In fact, what might he want as a manager?

First of all, LJ has let a Top 2 position slip out of our control. The probability is that we are limited now to a playoff place. We might get lucky but RK will not even consider that. We are where ewe are.

Secondly, the players are not his choices. He will do his best with the resources available but it’s a negative.

So a pragmatic bloke might be focused mostly on what happens if we don’t go up. That’s the big risk, and he cannot guarantee promotion – nothing can be guaranteed.

So the contract priorities might be

1 – What happens if we are still in L1 next year?

2 – What funds and recruitment support will be made available if we qualify late through the playoffs?

3 – Any bonus of we manage to gain automatic promotion?

4 – Any bonus if we actually win the damn thing?

Just my simplistic thinking, but maybe realistic too. Of course there are loads of other factors like wanting his own management team, reporting structure, salary and so on that we haven’t got a clue about.

After watching Keano tonight I'm convinced he's coming, doesn't look interested in being a pundit anymore on tonight's showing, been very subdued with his comments and analysis. Only one thing on his mind and it's Sunderland.
His performance tonight was fine but definitely slightly more reserved for a good reason. Spotlight was on, no need to to be over controversial. Shows good judgement

It’ll be contract length over money.

If he were to take it, not take us up, then be out of contract without any ability to make amends, that’d be his managerial career done.

I’d rather just announce Keane tonight / tomorrow and have a massive day tomorrow

Don’t like this whole “holding the announcement back to tease the fans” thing. Seems quite cruel
I read that in my head with a Stewie Griffin voice, for some reason!
Seems quite cru-el! My entire evening is ru-iiiiined!
I daren‘t even think of Cool Hwip, I‘ll be chuckling all night. Oh shit…

You’re eating hair!

There's absolutely no chance he's turning us down  he f***ing hates punditry really
As cushy a job as it is for someone, if you've had a career of winning everything as a player and have won a league as a manager it (punditry) must get tedious as **** eventually.

I still remember being surprised when he took his full time sky contract a few years ago. Never could imagine him being a hansen or sounness for 20 years as a pundit.

He has a competitive itch to scratch which he is about to again.

What gives you that impression young curtains? When he was asked if he was coming and smiled and said he couldn’t say?
Not just his initial reply at the start of the show, the way he behaved throughout, he just wasn't 'on it' like he usually is. Could be just drained mentally with it all but it just looked obvious that he's packing the punditry in to me.
