Sunday announcement would make sense. The players will be off on Sunday to recover anyway I'd imagine, what with the game on Tuesday. So if they can't announce him now for whatever reason he wouldn't have a chance to work with them until Monday anyway. Get whatever they need to get sorted tomorrow, he keeps the media gig he's signed up to at the weekend, announced Sunday afternoon, start work Monday

Thinking about this, if the club wanted to quash this Keane speculation, they could. Not even publicly themselves, but by leaking to a few journalists that Keane isn’t in the frame. The fact they haven’t speaks volumes to me
