Roy isn't in a great bargaining position. He has touting himself as a manager again for while and hasn't had any bites. However, he's not stupid and will know his value in terms of bums on seats.

Personally I would offer him a 5 month contract with an option for another year and £20K a week and with a £500K bonus if he gets us promoted. Thick end of a million
I meam, Moyes was shit here but hes not in any way a lower league manager.

Agreed but I couldn’t help myself lumping him in with the rest of the shit we’ve had in recent years 🤪

I reckon it’s not about money. If I were him I’d want a minimum 18 months. Surely any manager would want a full season of their own, regardless of how this year goes.
This. A 5 month deal isn't really any good for him. He could do a decent job but not be able to claw the points back, then an unlucky decision in a play off and he could be gone should the club decide to go for a more traditional coach type for next season. Rightly or wrongly that would be judged as a failure and he might find that's his last chance gone. He wants to be a manager, he'll want time to get it right here. I doubt money will come into it, he's said he'd manage in league one and he knows how much managers will get paid here, and I doubt we're at the lower end of that range
