Sunderland have a far better structure to go round the coach. In some ways it should be easier to manage than Hull and in some ways harder. As for Goldfish bowl I think you are correct. Lee Johnson didn;'t handle it well as we could see in the Lincoln match and others - he came across as desperate to be loved. Maybe a more soild, pragmatic choice like McCann or Neil would be better at handling it.

I think the prevailing view now is that it is Keane as first choice as we would all have it. The club is aware that Keane may not go for it and so we need a back up. As we speak the speculation would be the back would be one of McCann/Lennon/Warnock/Woodgate/Neil. I'd go for Neil nut McCann, in my view, would be a far better fit or choice than Lennon/Warnock/Woodgate.
Lennon would be a disaster for Sunderland

It was inexplicable that he was handed the Celtic job when you bear in mind what had happened at Bolton and Hibs

the lawyer wouldnt negotiate but would review the legal documents after ahgreed. i think, but could be wrong, that licensed agents are required to have insurance now as well.
I would hope so. Why more players don't ditch their agents & simply engage lawyers is beyond me. It seems to me that agents are little more than parasites. Tapeworms come to mind....

How would you compare the tactics keane faced as a manager in the Premier league with us, with what he's likely to face in the 3rd division with us? Do you reckon Paul Warne will be more tactically asute than fergie or wenger were?
fergie is that rare manager who evolved in football..wenger didnt..paul warne is tactically astute for this league..
do you think roy keanes success as a manager came because he was good at tactics? not all managers are..steve bruce has had a vastly more successfull career in football management than keane..and admits himself he doesnt know anything about tactics..

we're not going to get anything today are we

best we can hope for is he either isn't on ITV tonight which would be a giveaway or he gets asked about it and gives something away. the former being more likely i think

no doubt he'll now be on and they'll completely ignore it

lots of gpood managers have been renderd obsolote by the way football has changed..for eg...mouroinho has gone sharply backwards in recent years..benitez another..benitez style of defensivly organising a team simply doesnt work now at the top level..because more innovative managers have figured out hopw to beat it.
every imdsutry and profession evolves..new methods are created and deployed...its human nature and football does not supercede that,,btw what year dod greece win the euros? a long time ago..rwkativekly speaking..
^^^^ what an absolute loser

This bloke is spelling all of that wrong on purpose!

Might have been said earlier but I don't think the Roy of 15 years was particularly transfer savvy - so he might well be better suited with a DOF this time round.
He's basically said the same. Said looking back he loved the coaching and wants to do more of that. And didn't like the contracts, medical sides, etc.

It's a good point but I think it's less about tactics or managers getting out thought. Mourinho and Benitez have been dialling it in for years.

Moyes only rediscovered his mojo once it dawned on him he'd be remembered as the fella who failed at United and burned down Sunderland.
