Winning mentalityWhats going to change?
Simon Grundy just slipped up
On sun fm and said who would have thought Roy Keane would be back in the dug out tomorrow then went oops! I don’t think I was supposed to say that yet
We've done so well with the last 6 appointments as well.Time will tell. It's just a gut feeling. I hope I'm wrong
That Mail journalist is going clickbait crazy.

Sounded genuine he went on to say I’m gonna look like a right fool now if it doesn’t happenWas it in jest?
How would Simon Grundy know, sounds like a wind up maybe?
You mean not knowing whether or not Santa will come to your house so you hardly sleep cos your Fatha has been winding you up for the last couple of days? If that’s what you mean then its the best description I have heard of the last couple of days about SAFC - will he or won’t he as no one knows until it actually happens.Caught up with the thread. Still all positive. It's like Christmas eve as a bairn this.
It's a fantastic watch mind...under our current circumstances I cannot fathom that any Sunderland fan would not want Keane back after watching that. Finally got round to watching that video of Keane and Neville and, as noted by others, I saw a man who's owned and learned from his mistakes, is desperate to make a difference in football as a manager/coach again and still has a soft spot for us.
Professionalism, standards....Winning mentality
Just the difference he makes to the Sunderland area place is buzzing like a vibratorFinally got round to watching that video of Keane and Neville and, as noted by others, I saw a man who's owned and learned from his mistakes, is desperate to make a difference in football as a manager/coach again and still has a soft spot for us.
And even better, he thinks he is a journalist when all he is an advertising salesman. Whopper. It's all they do, re hash news from almost a week ago.
Just desperate for likes.
Suppose that's their job though (in the words of roy).
As opposed to the underwhelming appointment of a lower league merry-go-round manager. It's a fantastic watch mind...under our current circumstances I cannot fathom that any Sunderland fan would not want Keane back after watching that.
Professionalism, standards....
Amazing the different slants put on things either Sunderland or Newcastle according to mag journalists...all hyperbole and gushing and what if's for the mags and the exact opposite for us, trying to play down any seeds of excitement and ambition.
True. It just feels like a hail Mary "fuck it why not" kind of a singing. A gamble that may pay off if the stars align the way we want them to, not the most logical, efficient way of getting ourselves promoted. We've done so well with the last 6 appointments as well.
agreed, bi-polar isnt even closeThe reality of North East football is that any moment of triumph is followed inevitably by crisis and reverse. Every time of hope punctuated by despair
The strength of North East football supporters is not how loudly the cheer when things go well, but how they react when things turn against them
That is where Sunderland fans definitely have the advantage
I think the club will have or will talk to a number of potential coaches. Last time we understand the talked to Johnson, Cowley and Poyet. This is the right thing to do and its right to be totally open minded. I would guess they have talked to or will talk to Neil (would be a good choice in my view), McCann (not as bad as most are making out), Lennon (surely not), Warnock (surely not) and Keano who is understandably everyones choice. They may also have talked to others that the papers havent picked up on such as the lad from Forest Green. That interview with Grant McCann is very unispiring but he did a great job with Hull last year getting them promoted as champions, playing good football - that doesn't count for nothing. You must be logged on to see media items
Just can't see him being all that inspiring.
