KEEEEANOOO
If that’s correct that’s goodYou said Duncan Ferguson was coming a couple days ago.
I've also heard this is a done deal.
Here's the bizarre part.........
We're a third level team, about to get Roy Keane as manager, but I honestly don't think it's gonna work out![]()
Trust me, he ain’t coming.
I keep reading that the DoF might be a problem. It would be for managers who rely on agents. Keane has never had an agent. He very rarely had a good word to say about agents when he was here before. Why certain managers demand control over transfers is another story.
There is not a cat in hell's chance Keane wants to be driving to Shrewsbury and Gillingham on scouting missions every Tuesday.
Back in 2006 I very much doubt he was that hands on. The shear number of players who came in that first deadline day suggests there must have been many hands on deck. Keane would be providing a rubber stamp and little more.
I actually think a DoF model will suit him. As long as he has final say of who comes and goes from the first team.

Just relax and let what happens happen...
No one outside the club knows how our DoF system works!
It’s different from club to club and that can be cataclysmic differences to nuanced.
Any Head Coach will have to be walked through it to decide whether it’s for them.
Keane will be at his most flexible as he hasn’t been inundated with offers, at least ones that he has wanted.
He wants the Sunderland job, the devil must be in the details and I would imagine both sides have question marks over items. That’s normal. If middle ground can be found and maintained we are gonna have an interesting 6 months!
Announced before the game on Saturday is my hope.
Will or should ?one is deffo in the know the other is a mad bobesque guesswork!Should be installed as manager by tomorrow morning.
He's exactly what we need right now.
Great -thanks for that
Any idea why no
This is the only way he come here. Any other way he won’t be here. Many think it’s a simple process, but it’s not. If the rigid process we have in please at the moment is adhered to he won’t come. We must change and give him what he wants. That's precisely the way it's supposed to work. Right of veto.
Tidied for you.I totally agree. The DoF model isn't defined over here. I do think there's this outdated view where 'The Manager' scouts and negotiates every contract.
If you look at it in historical terms. Clough and Taylor were a Dictator and a Head of Recruitment. The roles don't change. Just the language.
Quite an imagination you have....This is the only way he come here. Any other way he won’t be here. Many think it’s a simple process, but it’s not. If the rigid process we have in please at the moment is adhered to he won’t come. We must change and give him what he wants.
Humble bragThis needs to be confirmed ASAP!
