Are we still listening to the same people who repeatedly tell us things are going to happen, then don't. Guessing they do have contacts here and there but there is a fair bit of evidence out there now that they don't quite know as much as fact, as they claim to.

Clearly he is under consideration. Just relax and let what happens happen...

You mean like the ones who said Defoe was coming but then he signed for Oxford?

He will not turn the job down. Skip forward to 18:05 on this. He wants it so badly man.

Aye, I'd be amazed if he turned it down like. I mean, we've got :
- he clearly wants to have another shot at management
- he feels he has unfinished business at Sunderland and seems to like the club
- he's admitted if he gets a chance it might be at the top of league one

This all points to an ambitious Sunderland being the perfect place for him to come in and try to prove people wrong (he's mentioned about others getting 7 or 8 chances a couple of times, it obviously bothers him, I'm sure he'd love to rejuvenate the club).

We all have things we'd like to do and accomplish, but with people like Keane I imagine it's like a really bad itch that they need to scratch. If he never has another go at managing it'll always eat away at him. So if this is here for him, and who knows if he'll get another half decent offer, I can't really imagine him passing it up. As long as KLD and speakman give the right impression (which I imagine they will) I doubt he'd call it off because of the system or whatever. Maybe it's not the system he'd choose in an ideal world (or maybe it is if he hates dealing with agents and would still get final say on transfers) but I think he accepts that if he gets another chance it isn't going to be ideal. It must be happening
